Volunteer Opportunities

We welcome those who have an interest in volunteering for the Alameda County Historical Society. Ways in which you can help ACHS include:
  • Writing for or helping to produce our quarterly newsletter.

  • Helping to plan our events, including quarterly dinners and summer outings, and assisting at those events.

  • Working on the production of keepsake publications.

  • Representing the Historical Society and recruiting new members at public events such as the Alameda County Fair and summer street festivals.

  • Assisting with this website, including adding to its content, helping to keep it current, and documenting Alameda County landmarks.
Volunteering can deepen your knowledge of our county's history, introduce you to like-minded individuals, and encourage you to acquaint yourself with previously unexplored corners of our large and diverse county.

To let us know specifically how you would like to help promote the work of ACHS, please contact us.
